Erickson Beamon @ Debenhams

January 3rd, 2008

ebrosecuff.jpgThe flamboyant duo have once again come together to create yet another fab collection of handcrafted jewellery for popular department store Debenhams.

This new range of glitzy dress up decorations will re-create the feeling you once had when you were younger and rummaged through your mums jewellery box to find a shiny piece and having that overwhelming feeling that you have in fact struck gold!!

EB – as the range is known is a designer diffusion line that has recently hit the stores. The stand out costume jewellery will glam up any rock t-shirt or will add the finishing touch to your favourite party frock. Each piece has the added bonus of looking like it has come straight from a couture cabinet at Tiffany but without the hefty price tag.

The collection is so vast it’s hard to choose my favourite pieces, but I think for me this silver coloured diamante rose cuff wins hands down. This piece is the ultimate accessory needed to draw attention to yourself. It’s £65.00 but once on it literally looks a million dollars!!

This is gorgeous designer jewellery that deserves to be worn as though it’s a family heirloom!!

Lee Angel – Emma Pendant Necklace

January 2nd, 2008

emma-pendant-necklace.jpgI couldn’t resist taking a quick peek at this Lee Angel Emma pendant necklace – after all it appears we share the same name!!

This has a great vintage vibe and looks like a classic antique piece that will wear forever. Find this tree silhouette pendant necklace on a drop chain that clasps at the back of the neck. It features tiny quartz beads with a subtle diamante trim around the actual pendant.

I can’t see this beautiful accessory being a common feature in everyone’s jewellery box, but I love its originality and I’m always a sucker for antique style goodies! If this is your kind of thing then you’re in luck as this piece is also an item in the Net-a-porter sale with a purchase price of £84.00 reduced from £105.00.

Net-a-porter Sale

January 2nd, 2008

Citrine BanglesWell girls after hectic xmas and new year celebrations there is only one thing left to look forward too – the January sales of course!! Get those purses out and spend whatever is left over after the xmas spending spree – not much in my case!!

I think jewellery makes a great sale purchase as most items remain in fashion and you’re unlikely to ever grow out of it – always a bonus, unlike with clothes after one too many mince pies over the festive period.

Net-a-porter has reduced a huge selection of goodies and although their pieces can be quite pricey, if you’re after a good quality designer item then they’re definitely worth a visit.

These Citrine by the Stones Peace bangles really caught my eye. I love the use of bright colours to help cheer up these dull dark winter days. They are gold plated and come in green, blue and white and each are inscribed with ‘Peace for Cambodia’ on the inside. They have a whopping 30% off with a sale price of £94.50. All you have to do is sit down, log on and browse these gorgeous jewellery reductions.

Mark Jacobs Cuff WatchMarc Jacobs has designed and created the ultimate retro wrist wear and best of all has simply named the time piece after himself – Marc!!

This funky Marc by Marc Jacobs Cuff watch has been created from papaya plastic and features a silver framed watch in the middle with silver hands. The word MARC spells the quarter hours – how cool is that??

If reds not your colour and you wanted the more subtle approach then you can always opt for the white design. This unique time piece can be all yours for £120.00 if you click away at www.net-a-porter.com. If you think someone special would love this creation then it comes in a classic storage box to make the perfect gift idea.

Love Brooch

December 14th, 2007

lovebrooch.jpgChristmas is all about sharing time with family and friends and showing love for one another – its not just about all the presents girls believe it or not!!

So, what better way to show how you feel for the people around you than this super fun and retro Love Brooch. There’s no need for soppy drunk moments when you can create the mood from one single piece of jewellery – what a great idea.

Also, depending on your mood and outfit you can choose from either red matt, pink matt or purple mirror as your colour of love. To have your very own love piece just check out www.glitter-and-twisted.com where you can view all products, however you will have to contact the site in order to make a purchase.

Pop Art Accessories

December 9th, 2007

jesabelnecklace.JPGWith Pop Art being the latest fashion to hit the high street it is vital you accessorise in a bold and brave way. This trend has no room for the shy ones amongst us.

Accessories are to be bold, daring and colourful however you must stay safe but keeping your accessories to a minimum. The impact you will have on an outfit with minimal jewellery will be perfect, you do not want to over do it!

All Saints have designed the ultimate Pop Art necklace that ticks all the boxes for me. It’s fun and bold but will also create a massive statement – I love it!! It’s not the cheapest at £45, but it is by far the nicest Pop Art accessory I have come across. Get yours on line at www.allsaintsshop.co.uk.

Piano Ring

December 5th, 2007

pianoring.jpgThis is probably one of the craziest designs for a ring I think I have ever seen!! Correct me if I’m wrong but who in their right mind would want to wear a piano on their finger?

For one, if I was too wear such a thing I would constantly be catching it on things. It’s bad enough when you wear a normal sized ring, but this beast will be getting stuck everywhere and ripping any type of material that gets in its way.

It’s also quite pricey at £32 and I’m not quite sure what kind of outfit you would team it with either. There is one positive I can find and that’s the fact it has an adjustable silver ring to fit all.

This look must appeal to some out there so if your one of them then you can find this design along with many other, shall we say unique designs, when you log on to www.kabiri.co.uk

Chunky Cherries

December 4th, 2007

cherrynecklace2.JPGThis chunky cherry necklace is the perfect fruity little number required to quirk up any plain top. Its bright, its fun and it looks great.

All girls love cherries and this chunky one is no exception. It’s made from acrylic strung on an 18″ silver plated ball chain. The perfect look to create this xmas is too layer this juicy number up with other chains and team with a cocktail – delicious!!

If you think you can handle this much chunky cherry then log on to www.punkypins.co.uk and pick your own for just £15.

Fab Feathers

November 29th, 2007

featherearrings.jpgThe feather is this seasons must have accessory, whether it’s a bag, an item of clothing or a hair piece, we all must own some form of feathery friend.

The simple and subtle feathered look is more my style which is why I couldn’t resist these classy and elegant Big Feather hook earrings by Alex Monroe. They are made from sterling silver and are brushed with a silver shine. This pair would really set off a stunning evening dress and would guarantee you shined all night long.

They’re not cheap at £140.00 but at least with a silver feather you know it’s going to last a life time unlike a material one. Get your big feather earrings at www.asos.com.

Kit Heath Jewellery

November 29th, 2007

kitheath1.JPGKit Heath jewellery is a fab family run business based in Devon that has spent the last 20 years creating and designing beautiful jewellery. Their collection consists of both men and women’s pieces as well as having a kids collection so it’s definitely worth a look if you have young to buy for this xmas.

Each item falls in to one of six categories: Ethnic, Organic, Vintage, Dark chic, Romantic and iced gems. Each piece in each category is designed around the same theme.

I have to say that I love the Vintage collection where textured silver and faceted stones are used to give that extra decorative touch like with this large oval textured necklace for £70.50. You can view all of Kit Heath creations on line, however you will have to check out the nearest stockist before making a purchase.
