The Watch Necklace

Urban Outfitters Horse Watch NecklaceI’m not entirely sure why, but for some reason watch necklaces seem to be hot property right now. Marc Jacobs has just added some to his Marc by Marc Jacobs collection, and they’re popping up everywhere on the high street.

Urban Outfitters has this great Horse Watch Necklace that’s a watch with a cover that features two lovely gold horses! It’s on a nice long silver chain, so if you feel the need you can easily do a time check but pressing the button on the top that pops the cover open. Aside from functionality though, this is simply makes a great necklace.

At £22 it’s definitely a lot cheaper than a Marc Jacobs, and you’ll impress everyone but being on the cutting edge of the latest (however bizarre) trends!

You can pick up the Horse Watch Necklace from Urban Outfitters online.

Apple Diamanté Watch Pendant

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

watchpendant.jpgWell as far as I knew watches were made to be an everyday wrist accessory. Most, including myself just have the 1 to choose from come day or night. Some may have a few they keep for best, but I’m pretty sure not many have a time piece that hangs around their neck!!

Popular designer Marc Jacobs has created this original yet elegant time piece. The watch itself is a black diamanté encrusted apple-shaped pendant with a white face. It hangs on a long high quality silver chain. It’s the Quarter hours that spell Marc that make this piece so original and a true keepsake.

I guess this isn’t a time piece that could be worn day in day out as it’s not suited to every occasion but it would look fab teamed with a casual black day top or a great power suit for the days spent in the office!! This Marc by Marc Jacobs Apple diamanté watch pendant has a hefty price tag at £250.00 and can be seen and purchased on line at Net-a-porter.

Floating Flowers Watch

Floating Flowers WatchHow fun and wacky is this watch??

Its part of Swatch’s Fall-Winter collection 2007 and I love it. Swatch are probably one of the worlds most famous wrist wear designers and you can always guarantee to find a good quality watch at a reasonable price.

I was however, unaware that they can actually create really vibrant fashion pieces. Its sure to brighten up anyone’s day and I know from experience that I am constantly looking at my watch throughout the day wondering when I can escape from work, so if I had a wrist piece like this I know it would constantly lift my mood. Its also made from plastic so you know you won’t have to worry about any unsightly scratches.

This little beauty as well as some great other designs can be found at Swatch. This particular design will cost you£32.50.

Seksy Curve

Seksy Curve WatchThis fab Seksy Curve watch brought to us from wrist wear designers Sekonda is a true beauty!!

Its got everything you would want and look for in a watch, its an original curvy design, its elegant, classy and even has the sparkle from Swarovski crystals to make it shine. Its also pretty reasonably priced for a watch at just £59.99, which I think you would all have to agree is a good price considering its brand and featured crystals.

The face of the watch is made of black mother of pearl and the chrome bracelet part of the watch is adjustable so the perfect fit can be found!! To view this particular watch and the whole Seksy range you can click away at www.seksy.co.uk, however to get your hands on the products you have to buy in store. The website will indicate the closest store to you so do not fear help is at hand!!

Charlize Theron for Breil Watches

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

Breil WatchIt has been announced that Oscar winning Charlize Theron is to become the face and spokes woman of the luxury watch brand Breil Milano.

Charlize looks as glamorous as ever in the new add campaigns that are to be launched at the beginning of November and will feature in fashion mags, billboards and on TV adverts.

Within these ads she will be wearing time pieces from the Eden and Eros collection, the one featured in this picture is from the Eros range. It may be quite boyish to look at, but I think it adds to the appeal and with a reasonable price tag it really hits the spot!

With all the add campaigns to be hitting us before x-mas, make sure this time piece is top of your pressie list!

Sekonda Seksy Blue Dial Watch

Monday, June 18th, 2007

Sekonda Seksy WatchI am a big fan of Katie and Peter the next chapter and every time I watch their documentary I see the adverts for Seksy by Sekonda. I kept meaning to go on their website to see what they offer but always forgot until now! I have just been browsing their watches and I really like the styles and colours they offer. This blue dial steel link watch is one of my personal favourites; it has a stainless steel bracelet with Mother of Pearl blue shimmer dial and a line of clear diamantes to the side of the face.

The watch costs £49.92 on findwatches.co.uk and is delivered gift wrapped in a pink crocodile grain box. An ideal present for that someone special!

Michael Kors Wood And Stud Strap Watch

Monday, June 4th, 2007

Michael Kors WatchI really like unusual watches and it’s not often that one catches my attention so quickly but this one by Michael Kors did just that. It is so unique and beautifully designed – the strap is made from wood and is decorated with diamanté studs, the watch face is encased in a wooden frame with a gold rim surrounding the face. The hands are also gold and the face has a simplistic appearance so it is easy to look at. Only the numbers 3, 6, 9 and 12 are displayed.

If you purchase the watch from ASOS it will be delivered in a gorgeous light wooden box with the designer’s name (Michael Kors) engraved on the lid and white stitching to finish off the design. The watch will cost you £129 and would make a great gift for that special someone.

Folli Follie Gold Rush Watch

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

Folli Follie Gold Rush WatchI saw the watch on the left in a magazine recently and thought to myself I must have a look on the Folli Follie website to see some more of their designs. I think these are two of the nicest watches I have ever seen and am definitely considering investing in one of them. I don’t often wear a watch but if an occasion came up when I wanted to wear one I would want to show it off!

I prefer the style with the leather strap (Gold Rush Watch); it consists of a gold coloured stainless steel case with sparkly stones and a caramel leather strap. I think the main feature that grabbed me was the simplicity of the clock face, there are no numbers, just four diamantes, gold hands and a subtle Folli Follie logo.

The magazine advertised it for £135 but on their website it seems to be priced at £165 and the gold strapped watch on the right is on the website for £195.

Seiko Electronic Ink Watch For Her

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

Seiko Electronic Ink WatchesLast year Seiko won an award for their electronic ink watch due to its remarkable display technology and slim profile. Well now they have launched a similar watch with an emotional concept targeted at women. You are able to change the watch’s display depending on your mood and location. If you are at work you can set the display to ‘efficiency mode’ and the display will be easily read, however you can also set it to ‘mystery mode’ and a more imaginative display will appear.

The ink display is embedded under a 360-degree continuous sapphire crystal and the watch is expected to cost over £2000. It is not yet clear when the product will be available so keep your eyes peeled for any new announcements.

The photograph on the left shows the original Seiko Ink Watch and the one on the right is the newest version. See the Seiko press release for more information.
