This Coral Cocktail Ring by jewellery king Kenneth Jay Lane is the perfect head turning accessory. With a large coral dome shaped stone in the centre, set amongst a diamante trim on an adjustable gold band this is the ultimate classy ring, not just for wearing when drinking cocktails.

Coral, despite it’s orangey tones, matches almost any colour. It works well with the neutrals, and this ring would definitely offset a LBD perfectly. It also works well with deep greens, golds, and blues.

The Coral Cocktail Ring costs £75 and is available from Net A Porter now.

there are some great Kenneth Jay Lane pieces in the sale. Obviously we’re still looking at the higher end of the price range scale, there are some great reductions. This Black and Tan Double Head Tiger Bangle is reduced from £70 to £42, so it’s almost half price. This is not a piece for the faint hearted – it’s a a wrap around bangle with 2 tiger heads. It’s a great statement piece and the orange, gold and black colours are really vivid and work well together.

If you fancy getting your hands (or wrist) round it then be quick, because the sale won’t last forever and pieces like this are bound to be snapped up quickly. Head over to ASOS and check out the other bargains to be had.

It’s perfect for making a less than dazzling evening outfit come alive. Blue and gold are a match made in heaven, and the bold colour offsets the sparkly colour perfectly. It’s even got a sparkly metallic finish!

The detailing on the stars is also really intricate, with silver diamante gems and clear stones set on a textured gold background. The bangle is a nice chunky one, perfect for this season’s statement jewellery trend, and for the really daring why not team it with some other bangles as well. Remember to go easy on other accessories though, you don’t want to be too weighed down.

The Robert Cavalli Star Bangle costs £290 and is available from Net-a-Porter.

Bright jewel colours are really popular this season, and Butler and Wilson have just launched a new range of brightly coloured items including hair clips, brooches and bracelets that fit the bill perfectly. This Three Crystal Owls on a Branch Brooch is made up of all the colours of the rainbow and is super sparkly. This would be a great addition to any coat or jacket, and it’s definitely unusual. It’s also at the lower end of the price range at £38. Whilst it’s quite a lot for a brooch, if you wear it everyday on a jacket that makes it a fairly low cost-per-wear. They have brooches in just about everything imaginable – from owls and rabbits to shoes and buses – so they’d make a great gift.

You can buy online from their website, or they have stores in South Kensington and Bond Street.

Their website is super easy to navigate and has a lovely layout. You can see all their designs in nice big pictures on one page – no need to click to zoom! They’re also fairly inexpensive, ranging from £6 to £12, and postage is free for all UK orders!

The are lots of lovely charms to choose from, from hearts to birds to horses, but my favourite has to be the Embellished Teapot Charm on a gold chain. The splash of colour on it looks great and gives it an antique, vintage feel, and I think you’d be hard pressed to find anyone else with necklace like this! It comes on a short chain for £8, or a long chain for £10.

Head over to Junk Jewels to have a look!

Their collections are known for not taking themselves too seriously, and taking inspiration from everyday objects rather than diamonds and pearls. They make jewellery from things no one else would think of, making them completely unique – they rarely follow the current fashion trends. Their A/W 08 collection is no different, as it takes its inspiration from stationery! There’s paper clip earrings, a pencil sharpening necklace and a big gold star brooch.

It’s certainly an unusual collection, but if you’re after something different that no one else has, then look no further.

My favourite is this Big Paper Clip Necklace. It looks just like giant paper clips linked together, and it’s over a metre long, so can be worn loads of different ways. You can have silver paper clips or coloured ones.

It costs £69 and you can buy online or if you’re in London you can visit their stores in Soho or Brick Lane.

Whilst the metal based, animal inspired pieces won’t be to everyone’s taste, she counts fashionista Alexa Chung amongst her fans.

Inspired by the country and countryside activities, her latest collection features pheasants, birds and stags amongst others, with a charm of the animals head mounted on a ring, badge, necklace or cuff links, and, in an interesting twist, is designed for both men and women to wear.

Most items are available in silver, gold or gun metal, and there’s also an option to have pieces made in solid gold for an increased price. All of her jewellery is made in her studio space in London, and her work has been featured in Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire.

This Small Shotgun Chain is one of Emma Franklin’s trademark pieces, and the darker metal looks great offset against the gold chain, and it’s unusual looking without being too outlandish. It costs £125, or £770 for solid gold.

Head over to Emma Franklin’s website to see her full collection and place an order.

British fashion legend Vivienne Westwood has recently designed a range of jewellery, and if you’re a fan of her work (and let’s face it who isn’t) you’ll want to take a look.

This Heart Pendant sums up the Vivienne Westwood style perfectly. It features the iconic orb motif she made famous, as well as incorporating a heart charm. The cross that attaches the heart to the chain fits in nicely with this season’s goth trend, and the silver crystal detail offsets the red perfectly, making this one eye catching piece of neck candy.

It’s 22 cm long, meaning it won’t dangle down too low so you can wear it with any kind of neckline – a V neck, round neck, even a shirt. There’s also a tiny Vivienne Westwood tag near the clasp to prove it’s the real deal.

The Heart Pendant necklace costs £70, and considering this is a piece of Westwood it’s a pretty reasonable price. Get it from My-Wardrobe.

You’re never too old for Disney, and now ASOS have launched a great line of jewellery to prove it! Disney Couture is a range of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings inspired by Disney characters and themes, exclusively for big kids.

The high end products are a firm celebrity favourite, being sported by Lindsay Lohan, Kate Bosworth and Nicole Richie, as well as being featured in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

My favourite is this cute Magic Castle Necklace. This is the very embodiment of all things Disney without being too cheesy or having Mickey Mouse draped round your neck (although the infamous ears are available as Swarovski necklace pendant if you fancy it!).

At 27 inches, this is a fairly long necklace, so wear it with a plain top to make the colours stand out. It’s 14 Ct gold plated and costs £40, so definitely a grown up piece of jewellery worth taking care of!

The whole range is available from ASOS now.
