I love vintage looking brooches, and am currently on the look out for a new one to go on my (as yet unpurchased) winter jacket. Last year I had a lovely silver horse, but sadly after several months of wear and tear it’s legs snapped off, so I’m looking for something a bit sturdier.
The Red Herring range at Debenhams has some lovely clothes, and after some research it seems it’s got a great jewellery range too, including some brooches. I’m tempted by the winged horse, but after the demise of last year’s I’m leaning towards this one, a Red Strawberry Brooch. It’s shiny gems and vibrant colour make it unique and eye catching, and it’s definitely unusual. The detailing also makes it seem a lot more expensive than it it, there are black beads for seeds and a jewel detail on the stem gives it a 3D effect.
It costs £8 and you can get from Debenhams online or instore.
