Kenneth Jay Lane Leopard Print BangleWhile we’re on the subject of jewellery focused around big cats as per my previous article, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to tell you all about my latest find – a leopard print bangle by Kenneth Jay Lane.

I admit its not going to suit everyone’s tastes, but for those of you out there that like the animal touch, it could be just the piece you’ve been waiting for.

Its basically a beige and yellow enamel bracelet cuff that features a stunning leopard design. The extra detail you will find on the bracelet is 18k gold plated and the hinge of the bracelet is magnetic so should be easy to get on and off!

So go on, show everyone your wild side and log on to www.bunnyhug.co.uk and part with £45 for this gorgeous piece.

Tiger Necklace by Mawi

Monday, November 12th, 2007

Mawi Tiger NecklaceThis designer necklace by Mawi has it all! Its original, its got gold, its got two shades of crystal and they’ve even thrown in some pearl for the extra wow factor. I don’t think you’re likely to see many of these beauties hanging round just anyone’s neck.

Its certainly an eye catching piece on a long gold chain. The tiger feature is studded with crystals and the central feature is actually a giant citrine crystal. There is also a pearl charm that hangs near the clasp of the necklace that can’t be seen in this picture but believe me it adds that extra character to the whole piece.

This necklace has such a great use of colours and in my opinion will add that little bit more interest to the classic little black dress. Its not cheap though girls, but you can see just from the picture that it oozes glamour. It will cost you €447 (around £298) and can be purchased from www.my-wardrobe.com.

Lulu Guiness Lip & Lipstick

Monday, November 12th, 2007

Lulu Guiness BraceletIt would appear that hip designer Lulu Guiness has taken up a new interest in make-up for the lips if their latest jewellery pieces are anything to go by!!

Lulu Guiness NecklaceThe bracelet was the first piece of the collection that I came across and I remember thinking how wacky and bold it was, and then when I found out that there was a necklace and earrings to match I was bowled over by the site of all that red lippy!!

They’re not particularly cheap items and I personally would not ever wear all 3 pieces together for fear of a public showdown, however one item alone could be quite striking.

Lulu Guiness EarringsThe earrings are small and studded and will cost £35. The chain is around 16″ in length and features both a lip and lipstick pendant. You will also find these signatory symbols on the bracelet, however the lipstick is used as the T bar clasp which is a great effect. Both the necklace and bracelet cost £75 and would make a great pressie for any lipstick lover so log on to HQ Hair and take a look for yourself.

Halloween Charm

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

il_430xn12108600.jpgI wish I’d discovered this jewellery before Halloween but better late than never! The freakish pieces are one off designs made by very talent jewellery designers. I think the Frankenstein’s Bride pendant is fab! I love the colour and the cute little spider hanging on for dear life.

Its a well made and hard wearing piece that will last you for many Halloweens to come. Personally I’d wear it everyday.

The compact mirror is equally unique. Its made from an original painting by the designer and it comes in a hand stitched pouch. You can find out more and buy the item here or visit the hompage to see more devilishly hot items.

Pink Pearls!

73_1.jpgI was watching a fantastic period drama over the weekend and the leading lady was wearing the most amazing pink pearl necklace. Ever since seeing it, I have been consumed by the task of finding myself some pink pearls. They are so romantic and you just don’t see them around often!

I have to have a necklace and a bracelet and some drop earing’s right now! I’ve discovered some really pretty pieces on Aye Do.com. These earrings are just perfect and are only £14.99! I also love the matching bracelet. If pink is not your color, these fresh water pearls are available in a wide range of colours so you will find something to match any outfit!

Nude Jewellery

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

Nude Mens RingNude Jewellery is a great Mayfair boutique that now has a fab on line store ready for the x-mas rush!!

They stock creations from over 40 designers and to name but a few have original pieces such as hand-hammered gold disc earrings and giant bits of quartz that have been carved into rings. They even have ivory snakeskin cuffs for the more adventurous out there.

They pride themselves on stocking handmade jewellery and like to find the time to seek out up and coming and hard to find designers from all around the world so the collection available is very vast. They can even create custom made jewellery for any budget.

Nude Diamond RingLike many girls out there I have the hard task of finding something affordable yet personal for my man this x-mas. When I checked out Nude Jewellery I was surprised to find this contemporary and stylish ring for just £40. It looks way more expensive that it actually is so if you’re lucky you might be able to save yourself a few bob!!

To give you a good idea about the different price ranges you can find at Nude, it would be rude not to highlight this stunning diamond ring that costs a whopping £2375. In the diamond section of the on line shop, some pieces do not have a price tag so I guess that’s for the lucky ones where money is no object – we can all dream!!

Floating Flowers Watch

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

Floating Flowers WatchHow fun and wacky is this watch??

Its part of Swatch’s Fall-Winter collection 2007 and I love it. Swatch are probably one of the worlds most famous wrist wear designers and you can always guarantee to find a good quality watch at a reasonable price.

I was however, unaware that they can actually create really vibrant fashion pieces. Its sure to brighten up anyone’s day and I know from experience that I am constantly looking at my watch throughout the day wondering when I can escape from work, so if I had a wrist piece like this I know it would constantly lift my mood. Its also made from plastic so you know you won’t have to worry about any unsightly scratches.

This little beauty as well as some great other designs can be found at Swatch. This particular design will cost you£32.50.

Peace & Love

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Peace and Love NecklacePhilippa Holland has created a lovely peace & love necklace and matching earrings duo. I think the idea behind the design is to represent how the concept of love and peace come as one and you cant have one without the other. I think you would all agree that its quite a deep meaning to portray through the use of jewellery but the idea works well for this set.

The necklace part of the duo is actually two chains that sit together so to create the one necklace. One chain is silver and one is gold. The earrings are to worn as a hoop design and are both gold.

So keep the peace and spread the love by logging back on to Brown Fashion and adding the earrings for £165 and the necklace for £245 to your virtual shopping basket.
