Christian Lacroix Crystal Cuffs

April 30th, 2008 by Aimi

Bright tropical accessories are a must for the spring and these Christian Lacroix bangles are perfect to jazz up a simple outfit, especially the pink version. The rounded cuffs have the crystal initials ‘CL’ and a signature stamp on the inside. The black cuff is nude on the underside and the pink cuff has a black underside.

Christian Lacroix Crystal Logo Cuffs

At £295 each, they’re not the cheapest accessories around but you have to admit they are fabulous! Both the pink crystal logo cuff and the black crystal logo cuff can be bought at Net-a-porter.

Beautiful Bangles

April 25th, 2008 by Aimi

Tribal stretch braceletIf you need to brighten up a simple outfit try adding some chunky decorative bangles to liven things up a bit. I have just been browsing on the Oasis website and found some stunning items that would be great for the summer months. First off I found this Tribal stretch bracelet and its only £8, it would look great accompanied by some smaller wooden bangles and looks more expensive than it actually is.

Escape chunky mosaic bangleI also saw this cute Escape chunky mosaic bangle in red for £10 which would definitely add a bit of colour to your outfit. The bracelets can be worn day or night with a casual or more dressy outfit and are perfect to wear with a short sleeved top so you can really show them off!

For more beautiful bangles at Oasis, visit one of their stores or shop online now if you can’t wait!

Karen Millen Signature Chain Bracelet

March 18th, 2008 by Aimi

iconAs I was browsing the House of Fraiser jewellery section in search of a birthday gift I came across this Signature Chain Bracelet. It’s a little more than I was looking to spend and have found something else now but I simply had to show it off. It has been created by top designer Karen Millen and is available on the website for £50.

Its quite a chunky design so not suitable to wear with an elegant evening dress. It would however definitely jazz up a simple outfit and is probably best to wear as a single piece rather than going over the top; layering up your arm with silver!

The bracelet is made from costume silver and has a logo carabiner clasp for fastening, beautiful!

Flower Power is Back

February 24th, 2008 by Aimi

If you walk around any shopping centre you will see floral designs plastered all over the manikins and dressing room hangers. I can’t quite believe it but is seems flower power has returned. It doesn’t stop at clothing either, many stores have stocked up on flower inspired jewellery too. These three pieces from Topshop will give you a good idea what to expect when you next venture out on a shopping trip.

Floral Jewellery from Topshop

The first (left) is a Vintage Look Flower Necklace costing £10, superb to accompany a plain black dress or simple outfit. The second is an Embossed Flower Bangle (£8), beautifully designed and perfect to wear as a single piece to show off the unique detail.

Last but not least and my personal favourite is a Stone Set Flower Ring (also £8), perfect to add a bit of bling to your finger! Get into your floral prints this spring, they’re going to be huge.

Disaya ‘Call Me’ Bangle

February 13th, 2008 by Emma F

‘Call Me’ BangleIn today’s way of living, communication is key and with technology ever expanding we all seem to appear to be actually talking to each other less. It’s all about texting and emailing and now it would appear we may have to communicate through jewellery.

Disaya have brought this fun but effective ‘call me’ bangle to the face of fashion. What better way to say what you mean without actually having to open your mouth, it’s a real fashion statement and I love it!! It would look great with a simple tee and jeans to help create a perfect spring casual look.

The bangle is featured on www.asos.com and is solid enamel with a gold finish and embossed crystals - very classy!! It’s not cheap at £90.00 but could prove to be priceless if it helps you catch the man of your dreams.

Junk Jewels

February 13th, 2008 by Emma F

lovebracelet.JPGThere’s is nothing trashy about this up and coming jewellery brand I can tell you, so don’t be fooled by the name. They may be cheap and cheerful but they have some fab jewellery pieces available that will jazz up any outfit.

While we are all feeling loved up with Valentines Day looming, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to show you all this lovely little bracelet. It has the cutest rose and love charm that feature on a skinny gold plated chain. Depending on your wrist size you can order a wider fitting if needs be. The best though is definitely the price. It’s just £6 - bargain! In fact all items on offer are around this price.

So if you are feeling in the mood to do some serious bargain shopping then make www.junkjewels.co.uk your first stop.

Vivienne Westwood Heart Pendant Necklace

February 11th, 2008 by Emma F

Heart PendantThis stunning Vivienne Westwood Red Label Heart pendant necklace would make the perfect luxurious gift to receive this Valentines Day.

There’s no better way to wear a hint of Westwood and definitely no better day than Valentines with the heart theme filling the air with romance wherever you look!!

This is a silver circle link necklace with a beautiful embossed heart shaped pendant. It also features a very glitzy Swarovski crystal embellished clover at top of pendant - how very bling!! I would get dropping those hints if I were you girls to be in with a chance of receiving such a gift. It’s not cheap at £90. Take a closer look yourself at www.net-a-porter.com

Malaya Jewellery

February 6th, 2008 by Emma F

where-art-thou1.jpgMalaya is a fab site to get your hands on vintage style jewellery. They have the most amazing selection of one off pieces that will attract all the right attention including gorgeous lockets and classic time pieces.

Be warned once an item is sold there are no other pieces the same, although you can contact the site owner to request similar creations. It is a bit of a tease as you can see each piece but most are already sold, so get viewing before all pieces are gone!!

One piece that remains that I have my eye on is this gorgeous Where art thou bracelet. It’s a true vintage charm bracelet and is being sold for just £30. Unfortunately the site doesn’t really give you any details about each piece, just the name and price so it could be quite risky spending a lot as you don’t really know what quality you are buying. It appears that the site owner is quite contactable so I guess if you do have any queries you could just ask before you buy.

Kenneth Jay Lane Oval Bangle Set

January 30th, 2008 by Emma F

Oval Bangle SetThese set of beauties are absolutely stunning!! I love the combination of the colours - definitely a hot look this season.

The actual colours are known as Jade and Ivory are bought to us by famous jewellery designer Kenneth Jay Lane, so yes they do have a hefty price tag at £70.00. They also have a small gold plaque with a KJL emblem on the back to help justify their price.

Piling on the bangles and beads is all part of this seasons chic tribal look. What makes these Kenneth Jay Lane Oval bangle set so great is that they have an uneven finish so they can be worn together or separately - I can’t imagine why anyone would want to separate these beauties though!! All you need to do to become a proud owner is log on to www.net-a-porter.com and start flashing your cash.

Tribal Trend Grows Bigger

January 30th, 2008 by Emma F

beadeddropearrings.jpgIt wasn’t long ago that I was writing about how tribal jewellery looked to big this season, well it seems to of taken of a treat and I have some more pieces to share!!

Check out my tribal pointers first though before taking the plunge in buying your first piece. For starters if you want to look ultra authentic then go for brassy gold’s and tarnished silver. If it’s more of a craving for bright colours you are after then stick to beaded finishes. We all want something that looks original so keep your eye out for chic handmade pieces from market stalls - especially when you are on holiday.

magnetic-bracelet.jpgSome may want to go for the whole tribal look, so try out tribal make up too with bronzed skin, strong eyebrows and orange lips to create the perfect tribal trend.

Dorothy Perkins have some great tribal accessories at the mo including theses beaded drop hoop earrings for that colour injection you might be craving. They are just £8.00 and can be bought on line or in store. ASOS also have some great beauties like this multi row magnetic bracelet for just £16.00 - so do tribal on the cheap.
